Located only 2 hours outside of Las Vegas, Grand Canyon West offers some daring adventures for the thrill seeker. There are multiple viewpoints, ziplining, hiking trails, and helicopter rides. Grand Canyon West is also home to the famous Skywalk as well.

In this blog post, I’ll help you create your travel plans to make your adventure go as smooth as possible.

1. Eagle Point

Eagle Point is the first stop for most guests of Grand Canyon West. Named for the eagle formation in the canyon rock, this area offers a beautiful view of the formation and the canyon as well. In this area you can travel a path on a self-guided tour of an authentic Native American Village. Each area has informational signage to provide an educational experience of a day in the life of the Hualapai Tribe.

2. Skywalk at Eagle Point

Jutting 70 feet out over the rim of the Grand Canyon is the Skywalk glass bridge. Hanging over 4,000 feet above the canyon floor, the bridge offers visitors breath-taking views of the area. The bridge opened in 2007 and is ranked second in the world for the largest glass bridge.

Before entering the actual walk, guests are given covers for their shoes and a locker to store their belongings. While on your walk, professional photographers capture the moment with multiple poses that can be purchased later in the gift shop.

This attraction is a MUST SEE–even if you are afraid of heights! To read more about the Skywalk or purchase tickets, click HERE!

3. Guano Point

One of the most breathtaking views at Grand Canyon West is located at Guano Point. As the second stop on your visit, the area boasts 360-degree views of the canyon all the way to the floor. Guano Point is home to the remaining aerial lift that was built in 1957 in order to mine bat guano from the caves at the canyon floor. For 20 years, miners rode in the aerial tram spanning 7,500 ft with a 2,500 ft lift from the top of the canyon to the canyon floor.
