About me
Hello there! I’m Heather, and I call the beautiful hills of East Tennessee home. Nestled in this scenic landscape, I’ve built a life filled with love, learning, and a touch of chaos – all in good measure!
I’ve been fortunate to share the journey of life with my best friend for the past two decades. Our home is lively and shared with two adorable companions – Marlow, our energetic Boxer, and Corina, a Maine Coon cat. They bring a lot of joy and antics into our daily lives.
For the last 20 years, my heart and soul have been dedicated to education. Currently, I serve as an assistant principal, a role I’ve proudly embraced for the past 7 years. The pursuit of knowledge has been a constant in my life, and it led me to the University of Tennessee, where I received my college education. Recently, in 2023, I accomplished a significant milestone by completing my Doctorate from Lincoln Memorial University.
Outside the world of education, my life is colored by various passions and hobbies. Gardening brings me close to nature, and my love for exploring new places fuels my travel adventures. When I’m not on the move, you’ll find me immersed in a good book.
I bleed orange for the UT Vols! My college years at the University of Tennessee were a transformative period, and the loyalty to my alma mater runs deep.
I’m excited to share that I’ve recently ventured into the world of blogging. This platform serves as more than just a virtual space – it’s a means to connect with incredible people like you. The blog is my canvas, where I paint stories, share experiences, and exchange ideas. I’m a newbie blogger, but I believe that every post is an opportunity to foster connections and spark conversations.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Let’s connect, share ideas, and explore the richness of life together. Whether you’re interested in education, gardening tips, travel tales, or simply looking for a good read – you’ve found a virtual friend in me.
Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to getting to know you better!
Heather
